Lion (working model)

Description: Antoine Louis Barye’s plaster cast, entitled Lion, served as the original working model for its bronze counterpart, depicting the animal perched thoughtfully on a nondescript surface with muscles tensed and body slightly turned in a guard-like position

Signature: Signed on the base of the sculpture
Medium: Plaster
Dimensions: 18 inches x 5 ½ inches x 8 ¾ inches
Circa: 19th Century
