Description: Lorado Taft’s figural plaster cast entitled The Eternal Indian served as a working model for Taft’s enormous concrete monolithic statue that stands on a cliff overlooking the Rock River region of Oregon, Illinois; this piece depicts a stoic American Indian chief standing with arms folded and appears to be gazing into the distance

Circa: 1911

Provenance:
